General Rules
- All horses must be at least 2 years of age to start breaking to the saddle/bridle, and at least 3 years of age to be mounted for the first time
- All new horse characters make their first post in the Private Sales board using the Sale Ad Form that is pinned on that board
- No horse can come into this game already owned by a human character
- Horses cannot use words to communicate with anyone, human or horse, but they can whinnie, snort, etc. to both humans and horses
- All genders must be over age 3 to breed
- No horse can sire/give birth to over 15 foals in their lifetime
- Horses "die" at the age of 30, regardless of popularity or points. Or, they can die earlier due to sickness, neglect, ect. They can also be put up for adoption in the Horse Adoptions board before then if the player no longer wishes to RP them
- Horses can be created with a name, riding style, ect. (i.e originally Thunder trained English), but a human can always change that (i.e re-named Lightning re-trained Western)
Mare Rules
- Mares' disposition is calm except for when they are in heat (during breeding season), and so you must RP accordingly
- Mares cannot abort foals
- Mares cannot "chose" which stallion they wish to breed to. I.E; if a mare makes it odvious to their owner they are in heat and they are placed in the breeding paddock with a stallion they do not wish to be bred to, they don't have a choice. They have the choice to have a foal, but not which stallion they are bred with.
- If the mare's owner does not bring her to the Foaling Barn 7 days after she became pregnant, the mare has no choice but to say her foal died
Gelding Rules
- Geldings' disposition is calm year-round, and you must RP accordingly.
- A horse can either be created as a gelding or can be a stallion gelded by the vet later in the game
- Geldings cannot breed...duh?
Stallion Rules
- Stallions' disposition is high-strung year-round, and this gets worse during breeding seasons. You must RP accordingly.
- If a stallion is placed in the breeding paddock with a mare, he must breed to her
- Stallions do not fight in this game unless they are placed together (in the same paddock, arena, ect.) - which anyone with an ounce of horsesense would probably not do anyway
Foal Rules
- Foals age at the same rate any other horse does
- Foals cannot refuse to be weaned - i.e they CANNOT post "the foal escaped from the paddock he was being weaned in and ran back to his mother". This is powerplaying, which is also not allowed.
- Foals can be TOUGH to break/train, but they cannot be IMPOSSIBLE to break/train.
- Colts cannot be gelded until the age of 3
