Physical Description: Like Snow White's locks, Mystery is black as night. Though, you must admit, every night has its white stars. Although upon her head is not a star, but a blaze, it glistens white when the foal steps into sunshine. Her young mane stand at attention like the plume on a gladiator's helmet. Unlike the boastful red's gracing the tops of the ancient soldiers, her mane is the black of her coat. A not yet long and beautiful tail flourishes from the hindquarters of this filly, one to match the rest of the ebony covering Mystery. Wrapped around her legs lay no stockings, no coronets, but onyx so deep it seems as if it her very being was black. Lowering your gaze, you find yourself looking at more ebony, and you begin to think her eyes are black as well. But, do not worry, her eyes are not black. Not as common as the calf-brown you see in the majority of horse optics, but just as beautiful. Yes, Mystery's eyes are blue. As you lock gazes, you take a step back, unable to hold her deep stare. Quickly, you move yourself to find that you seem to have missed a detail about her. She has a spot on your shoulder. This spot would easily be missed, as it was a dark grey, so dark it was almost black.
Psychological Description: Food. Mystery absolutely LOVES food. The easiest way to gain her trust? Food. Primarily carrots and apples. This foal is sneaky and mischievous with a taste for human food. She loves running and jumping around. She doesn't like being touched and is fearful of humans. Mystery will not hesitate to bite or kick if she feels threatened or corned. She is competitive, stubborn, and curious. She acts first and thinks last. Mystery is playful and adventurous. Despite these characteristics, she is more of a loner and doesn't usually involve herself with other horses. She tries to be alert and cautious, but her curiosity gets the best of her. Mystery will not obey if forced to do anything, as she is as stubborn as a mule. At the site of a whip, she will always try to get away. If that is not an option, she will bite and kick until safety's schedule opens up.
History: Mystery was bred on a thoroughbred farm a few miles away from Whitecross. She was born small and stood late, but was she discovered the power of walking, this foal was a wild child. The filly grew amazingly fast and she was rarely able to be brought back after released into the pasture. Her owners didn't introduce her to humans, as she was 'too wild to be touched'. The foal was considered untamable by all who considered buying her, which was a problem for her owners. They had many thoroughbreds that needed to be sold, and Mystery was one of them. She, of course, was oblivious to this and continued her unpredictable ways. The other horses loved to watch her run around, as she was the only foal to be born recently. The other mares had had birth complications, and Mystery was a miracle. The love soon ended when the humans found they needed more money, so one day, they loaded three trailers and auctioned off half of their horses. Mystery was confused by this and decided to be never let a human touch her. She was successful, and continued to romp around joyously. One day, she felt rather tired, and let her guard down. What a silly thing to do. One of the workers came near hear and tried to get a rope around her neck. Mystery retaliated with bites and kicks. But, alas, humans are stronger than foals, and she was put into a trailer and sent to the auction.
Example Post: Mystery laid in the grass, watching her surrounding, ears pricked. She slowly stood, moving away from the others but not taking her eyes off them. As she lowered her head to graze, her eyes closed slightly, but her ears strained more. The foal saw a butterfly from the corner of her eye and her head shot up. She whinnied and chased after it, raising her front half off the ground as the two frolicked around. Mystery slowly stopped as the butterfly fluttered higher and higher and sighed. She saw a human nearing her and growled, taking a few steps back. They rush and had a rope slipped around her neck. She neighed in protest and lashed out, but her attempts failed. The human dragged the fighting filly away.
