description, Shai is a magnificent stallion, with all the qualities of an Arabian. His most outstanding feature is his large, expressive dark eyes, along with his finely chiseled head and an outstanding conformation. His gaits and movement are superb. And like all Arabian, Shai's tail is always held high. He's a bay, although his forelock, mane, and tail aren't totally black, but due to sun exposure, they have reddish streaks in them, making him appear to be a liver chestnut from afar.
attitude, Shai is very high-strung, typical of a colt his age, although this attitude is likely to stay. He's flighty and spooky, so when he is saddle-trained, only experienced riders should ride him. Shai takes to and likes only certain people, and he has a tendency to be a bit more flighty then usual around men.
history, Raadin Shai was born at one of the top Arabian breeding barns in the country. His mother was a winning halter class mare, and his sire was a U.S National Champion Stallion, and Shai's half brother was a World Reserve Champion. Needless to say, Shai was a result of careful breeding, and alot was expected of him. He proved difficult to halter train, but with a good trainer, a lot is expected of him. When Shai reached two years old, the stables were forced to sell him, as they would not have room for yet another stud. So they sold him, hoping that he would become a champion sire just like his father.
example, It was a dark and dreary day, the clouds hanging low upon the horizon. Maybe if he reared high enough, he could touch those clouds and escape, and get out of here. Shai would've really likes that.
The Arabian stag was in a small corral by the parking lot at the barn where he was born, although he wouldn't be there much longer. A trailer was being prepared for him, the straw and water all ready. It was a high-class trailer, but to Shai, it was to be prison.
Bay bodice was thrown across the corral as he bolted, ebony plume held high in the air. His concave crown was also thrust high, his orbs rolling back, revealing the whites of his eyes. The grooms turned and looked, pointing. "Look at him go!" The stallion halted suddenly, his auds pricked, the tips turning inward. A groom was approaching him with that halter, that fine Arabian halter, with blue and white stones set into the cheekpiece, and strings, jewels, and tassles decorated the noseband. The man climbed into the corral and approached the colt, holding out the halter. Shai took a step back, mane blowing in the wind. The tassles made a strange noise, and the stallion shyed to the left, prancing in a circle. But he might as well have not spooked, it did nothing.
The halter went on anyway.
