Disclaimer: I, Matthew Whitecross, give complete credit for the creation of the Point System to member _x_Skye_x_, who single-handedly thought up and published this remarkable system. I, Matthew Whitecross, take no credit for the creation of the Point System whatsoever.
OK, enough of the legal matters... <_<
In WCS, each horse and rider start out with 0 points and as beginner-level horses and riders. By playing this RPG and by becoming involved in such events such as horse shows, characters have the ability to gain points, and thus value, and thus popularity. The Point System works in the following way:
Humans
-Start the game with no points.
-Earn riding skill level points by riding, taking a lesson, showing, or working their horse.
-Riding/working horse: 1 point for every post made in the thread. Post must meet rule requirements.
-Taking a lesson: 3 points for every post in the lesson thread. Must be taken with a qualified instructor/trainer.
-Showing: 5 points earned for entering and competing in a show.
For both horse AND rider, on showing
-The point earnings system for winning/placing in a show is as follows:
1st - 10p
2nd - 8p
3rd - 6p
4th - 4p
5th - 2p
6th and under - 0p
Grand Champion - 20p
Reserve Champion - 15p
Horses
-Start with 0 points.
-Earn points by getting a workout, seeing a trainer, taking a lesson with a rider, and showing.
-Workout: Earn 1 point per post.
-Trainer: Earn 4 points per post.
-Lesson: Earn 3 points per post.
-Showing: Earn 5 points for entering and competing in a show.
Now you may be wondering, "How does Matthew know when me and my horse have earned some points??" That's just the thing...I dont. Except for shows...those I can figure out on my own. However, when you and your horse are done RPing together in a certain thread (NOT after each post!!!), one - or both - of you has to PM me and tell me the following information:
I've completed a thread!!!!
(Name of Thread)
(Names of ALL who posted in said thread)
Then, I'll go take a look, figure out how many point everyone earned, and reply at the end of the topic to state that yes, I did give you guys your points.
The more points a horse has, the more valuable the horse is, and the more it is worth. The more points a rider has, the more talented the rider is, and the better he or she will do at a horse show. Make sense??
